Joined up with a balloon crew. I’m always looking for new adventures. This might have been a bit more work than fun, but it was enjoyable. Helped launch the balloon and then chase it for the landing. The sunrise was stunning.

Splash and Pour Photography in Studio in Philadelphia…

Finally, got a chance to work on some of my own Splash and Pour photography at the Photographers in Philadelphia Studios. We had a fantastic meetup with Photografriends, South Jersey Photography and Arts Group and Philadelphia Photographic Arts. Everyone had a great time and loads of fun shooting splash and pour. Fun Philadelphia Studio Lighting Workshop…

Had a fun workshop in studio lighting. I tried to get the motorcycle in the elevator and onto the 3rd floor. That just didn’t seem to be in the cards. So, we shot the motorcycle in the basement of the studio. It turned out to be a fun shoot and everyone enjoyed the workshop.

A visit to D.C.

So, I had a chance to visit Washington D.C. I’ve driven through there many times, but only ever stopped due to traffic. I got a chance to finally see the National Mall, with the historic monuments.

The best pictures are definitely taken at night with the monuments all lit up. All of these pictures are taken with a heavy ND filter and as a 7 shot HDR.

Valley Forge National Park in Black and White

The Photografriends Meetup Group had an outing to Valley Forge National Park. The stipulation was to step out of your comfort zone and shoot in Black and White.

Most of the shots were done in a 7 shot HDR, then converted to black and white. The waterfall shot was done as a 7 shot HDR but using an ND400 filter to slow down the waterfall and even out the pool.
